Sylwia and Paweł called me, a wedding photographer from Krakow, in January 2019. They asked about my offer (it has been available without password for eveyone on my website for a long time). Also about a date for wedding in June 2020, if it’s available. And finally about an outdoor wedding session. It was a pleasant phone conversation. I got an even nicer call a few days later. It was a quick decision on their part. They have decided to hire me and trust me…
Today, after they received the photos, I know how they reacted to it all. I will quote a Sylwia’s message after seeing the pictures: “I don’t know who to thank that from among the hundreds of offers that I looked through in search of the best photographer, I found you. You have fulfilled my innermost dreams of photography. You have captured the most important moments in the most beautiful day of our life. I am so much moved and I am happy after seeing the entire gallery. My dear, anti-photogenic husband is very impressed with your talent as well. And I keep smiling because I had exorbitant requirements and you could make them come true with one click. You not only have talent but you are a great person. I hope you will stay with us for longer in the next photo sessions! We love you and thank you!„. I need to admin that those words menas a lot to me!
A wedding session in an open-air museum (skansen w Kolbuszowej sesja) – what a wedding photographer from Krakow thinks
Coming back to the conversation from the beginning of last year, I remember that they were surprised that my wedding sessions last short. Briefly, that is one and a half or two hours. Even then, Sylwia and Pawel suggested that they might buy additional hours. This, of course, I advised against. It was obvious that they wanted nice photos from the wedding session. I didn’t know their idea yet. I did not know that they would choose an idyllic village in Podkarpacie for a wedding session. They will choose the open-air museum in Kolbuszowa (Skansen w Kolbuszowej) for their wedding photos. Right now I would like to show you these photos.
Open-air antique building museum in Kolbuszowa – photo session
Skansen in Kolbuszowa menas charming villages from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Wandering through the open-air museum, located far from the city noise, you will see a world that no longer exists. The open-air museum in Kolbuszowa consists of cottages, stables, cowsheds, pigsties, henhouses, barns, granaries, manege, ridge, buildings of rural industries, such as a water mill, windmills, smithies, an oil mill and a pottery, and finally public buildings – a school, an inn and a fire station, and also a stately church. They are located in the natural landscape of home gardens, orchards and apiaries, arable fields, meadows and pastures, ponds, surrounded by riverside greenery and forest. As a wedding photographer from Krakow I was charmed by the place that Sylwia and Paweł have chosen for their wedding session.
Photos on a cloudy day? Wedding session in Poland
Does the sun have to shine during the wedding session? Is the sun, preferably setting sun, a must when taking pictures, also weddings one? Well no. That’s my opinion, as a wedding photographer from Poland. Today you will see a wedding session from the open-air museum in Kolbuszowa (sesja ślubna w skansenie w Kolbuszowej), where the sun did not appear from behind the clouds for a moment. I always say myself that any weather is good for photos. I think it is worth trusting a wedding photographer in such decisions. Now, you can judge the results.
Boho style at an outdoor wedding photo session
What we associate mainly with comfort, summer and holiday loose we can associate with the boho style. What is more, it is also a tribute to nature. My today’s heroes dreamed such a boho wedding session in the open-air museum (skansen w Kolbuszowej sesja ślubna boho). Have we managed to? Please write in the comments below!
